Join us at 172 Main Street during this year’s GrotonFest! Visit the Boutwell House between 11 AM and 2 PM on Saturday September 26 to hear conversations between George Boutwell and his daughter Georgianna.
Brian Bixby will take on the role of George with Bonnie Carter as Georgianna. They will converse about life in the year 1885. Using information taken directly from family letters, newspapers, documents, the news from Washington, local affairs, and family life are topics that will be explored. Hear from George and Georgianna in the setting of their own home.
This program is on-going between 11 and 2 so visitors are welcome at any time.
Author Jeffrey Boutwell will also be at the Boutwell House on September 26 from 12-2 PM selling signed copies of his Boutwell book “Boutwell: Radical Republican and Champion of Democracy” (W.W. Norton & Co., January 2025).
